Thomas Crane goes looking for answers. He finds himself trying to locate them on a factory tour where he meets the mind behind some of the most popular and commercially successful perfumes of his era. There is more to the story than that, and the handsome young man with the swallowtail butterfly tattooed on his throat has had his eye on the graying Thomas Crane since he arrived. Things don’t go well for our protagonist.
